Source:My father, Thomas G. Finnegan 17 108 399 U.S Army Signal Corps, was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery at Tuhshan, China in actions on November 30, 1944 while conducting communications in a railroad car being shelled by a rapidly advancing Japanese Army unit. He remained in the railroad car relaying communications with higher echelon headquarters, while glass and wood fragments from explosions on the targeted rail car was taking place all around him.
